Steps
- 1
First, prepare all the ingredients. Chop the onion and cilantro into small pieces. Heat water in a pan and add all the chopped ingredients. Bring to a boil.
- 2
Once everything is boiling, add the semolina and cook on medium heat until the mixture thickens. When the batter is thick, turn off the heat and mix in the boiled potatoes. Knead into a dough. Using your hands, shape small balls and make a hole in the center with your finger. Set aside the vadas for frying.
- 3
Heat oil in a separate pan. Add the prepared vadas to the oil and fry on medium heat, turning occasionally, until golden brown on both sides. Place the fried vadas on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
- 4
After frying, the Suji Potato Vadas are ready to serve. Arrange them on a serving plate and serve with your favorite chutney.
