  2. 1/2 cupcold unsalted butter, cubed
  3. 2 cupsall-purpose flour

  6. 1/2 cupmilk (plus extra for brushing)
  7. 1 tspDijon mustard (optional, for extra flavor)

Cooking Instructions

30 minutes
  1. 1

    *Preheat the Oven:**
    - Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. 2

    *Make the Dough:**
    - In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
    - Add the cold butter and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to blend until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

    - Place scones on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with a little milk.
    - Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

  6. 6

Lovely recipe. Welcome to Cookpad. I’m interested in what ‘white’’ cheddar is. Do you have several varieties in the US and is this one mild?
