Homestyle Braised Pork (using Multi-Cooker)

Homestyle Braised Pork (using Multi-Cooker)
Steps
- 1
Slice the ginger, cut the scallions into sections and separate the white and green parts, peel and smash the garlic, halve the star anise, boil the eggs, and cut the pork belly into chunks. Set aside.
- 2
Add oil to the inner pot of the multi-cooker. Set to sauté mode for 5 minutes. Once preheated, add the seasonings (garlic, white part of scallions, sliced ginger, and star anise) and stir-fry for about 1 minute.
- 3
Add the pork belly to the pot and let it sear for about 2 minutes without stirring.
- 4
Then stir-fry until the 5-minute timer ends.
- 5
Add the braising sauce ingredients (soy sauce, soy sauce paste, rock sugar, water, rice wine, white pepper), along with the green part of the scallions, boiled eggs, firm tofu, or any other ingredients you want to braise.
- 6
Set the multi-cooker to the pressure cook mode for chicken/duck/pork and cook for 25 minutes.
- 7
When the time is up, open the lid and enjoy.
