Yamitsuki Cabbage w/ Korean Twist

Yamitsuki means 'addictive' in Japanese, and my take on this izakaya classic might just outshine the original! Infused with a Korean twist, the ssamjang brings a bold umami punch that my tastebuds can’t resist, blending the best of Japanese and Korean flavors in every crunchy bite.

Steps
- 1
Chop half a head of cabbage into bite size pieces, wash cabbage and spin dry
- 2
Into a large bowl add cabbage, smashed garlic, sesame oil, sugar, fish sauce and salt (I kept it light since I was serving with ssamjang) and toss together (I used my hands). Cabbage is ready to eat now, but for an added umami punch follow step #3
- 3
In a small dipping plate, add ssamjang and lightly dip cabbage pieces into ssamjang and enjoy!
