A simple and delicious dish that combines the sweetness of onions with the bold flavor of coarse salt and ground pepper.

Remove the outer layer of the onion and cut the limes to squeeze out their juice.

Slice the onion into rings, squeeze the limes, and add ground black pepper.

Add a handful of coarse salt and the lime juice, mix well, and let the onions sit for at least 15 minutes. The longer they soak in the lime juice, the better.

Letting the onions marinate longer will enhance the flavor.

Once well marinated, I served them with breaded chicken breasts and added plenty of lime juice for a fresh, spectacular flavor.

I also added my favorite super spicy habanero chili and served it with sweet mango water.
