In a small pan add oil and ghee and heat on low heat. Do not over heat.

In a wide bottom bowl sieve flour and semolina. Add salt, pepper and cumin. Mix well. Add in hot oil and ghee and mix well. You should be able to make a fist with the flour.

Gradually add water and make a stiff dough. Cover and let it stand for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes knead the dough and make small balls. Roll out puris and make small slits using a knife so it doesn’t puff up.

In a pan heat oil on low to medium heat. Fry puris flipping after few seconds so its evenly cook. Fry until golden brown. Remove on kitchen towel and let it cool completely. Enjoy with a nice cup of tea 🍵
