Ingredients

20 minutes
2 persons
  1. 12 pieceswatermelon rind
  2. 1 cupgram flour
  3. 1/4 cupfinely chopped coriander
  4. 1onion, grated
  5. 1 tspred chilli poweder
  6. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  7. Pinchasafoetida
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Oil for frying

Steps

20 minutes
  1. 1

    Mix all ingredients and prepare a smooth batter by adding water. Cut rind in square pieces.

    Heat oil and dip watermelon rind pieces in the prepared batter.

    Carefully place the battered rind pieces in hot oil and deep-fry until golden brown on both sides over medium flame.

    Remove the pakodas from the oil and place them on a tissue paper-lined plate to drain excess oil.

    Serve hot with a steaming cup of tea.
