Wash the osuga bunches and separate the leaves from the stem

Cut into medium sized piece and place in a cooking pot, add 4 cups water and cover the lead

Place on heat and cook for 3 hours. Remove from heat

Place a clean cooking pot on heat and add oil then add the chopped onions and allow to fry

Drain excess water from the. vegetables and add the onions and oil.mix well

Add 500 ml milk and allow to cook for 40 min. Remove from heat and allow to settle till the next day

On the second day place the vegetable on heat and add another 500 ml milk to it and cook for 30 min.

Serve hot with ugali
