Ingredients

  1. 1/4 cupfenugreek seeds
  2. 8green chilies
  3. 4 tspmustard oil
  4. 1/2 tsphing
  5. 1 tspmustard seeds
  6. 1 tspcoriander seeds
  7. 1 tspfennel seeds
  8. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  9. 1 tspkashmiri red chili powder
  10. Salt to taste
  11. 2 tsplemon juice

  1. 1

    First of all, soak fenugreek seeds in water for at least 4 to 5 hours.
    After 4 - 5 hours strain all water, wash with fresh water, and again strain it in a strainer. Wash green chillies and cut all into 1/2 inch rounds..

    Now turn on the gas on low flame, put a pan, add mustared oil to heat, add mustard seeds, hing, green chillies, whole dhaniya, and saunf. Saute for 1 minute. Now add the soaked fenugreek to it.

    Cover the lid and cook for 2 minutes on a low flame. Then open it, check fenugreek seeds are cooked properly, then add turmeric powder, salt, and Kashmiri red chilli powder. Mix well.

    Turn off the gas, add lemon juice for a tangy taste, as well, it works as a natural preservative.
