  • 500 gmpaneer (cottage cheese)
  • 150 gmcashunuts
  • 50 gmpoppy seeds
  • 1 tbspwhole spices -1 bayleaf 1 cinemon stick 2 cloves 2 green cardamom
  • 3green chilli
  • 1 inchginger chopped
  • 2tomatoes roughly chopped
  • 1 tbspred chilli powder
  • 1 tspturmeric powder
  • 1 tbspground cumin seeds and coriander powder
  • 1/2 tspgaram masala powder
  • 1 tspsugar
  • 3 tbspgreen peas - optional
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tspcrush kasuri methi
  • 4 tbspoil

    In a small bowl soak cashunuts and poppy seeds in warm water for 15-20 min.keep aside.Make paste from ginger and green chilli keep aside.

    In a mixing bowl place paneer cubes add salt red chilli powder a pinch turmeric powder 1 tsp oil mix all well together cover and keep aside for marinet

    In a mixer grinder grind soaked cashunuts poppy seeds and chopped tomatoes and make a smooth paste keep aside

    Now heat oil in heavy bottom pan and fry the marinate paneer cubes until light brown remove it in another bowl

    In same oil add sugar and whole spices when they crackers add cashunuts poppy seeds and tomato paste saute add green chilli and ginger paste saute

    Add all dry spices and mix all well and cook for 3-4 min add green peas (optional) mix all well add water let it boil for couple of min

    Add paneer cubes cook for 3-4 minon low flame add garam masala powder kasuri methi and let it simmer for 2-3 min.
