Ingredients

  1. 1 tspBrown sugar
  2. to taste Pepper
  3. 2 tbspWater
  4. 1 tspCorn starch
  5. 1 tbspVegetable oil
  6. 1 tbspSesame oil
  7. 1 tspToasted sesame seeds
  8. 1/4 tspOnion salt
  9. 1/2 tspOnion powder
  10. 1/2 tspGinger powder
  11. 200 gVeggie lo mein noodles
  12. 2 tbspSoy sauce
  13. 1 tspSriracha
  14. 2 tbspHoisin sauce
  15. 2stalks, sliced Green onion
  16. 1/2, sliced Yellow onion
  17. 1/2cup, sliced Bell peppers
  18. 1/2 cupSnap peas
  19. 1cup, cut into florets Broccoli
  20. 2cloves, minced Garlic

Steps

  1. 1

    Cook lo mein noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Heat vegetable oil in a pan. Sauté garlic until fragrant.

  3. 3

    Add broccoli, snap peas, bell peppers, and yellow onion. Stir-fry until just tender.

  4. 4

    Add hoisin sauce, Sriracha, soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger powder, onion powder, onion salt, and pepper. Mix well.

  5. 5

    Stir corn starch into water, then add to the pan. Toss to coat and thicken the sauce.

  6. 6

    Add cooked noodles and sesame oil. Stir-fry to combine.

  7. 7

    Add green onion and toasted sesame seeds just before serving.

Tips

Starting with fresh garlic enhances the flavor, and adding green onion at the end keeps it fresh and crunchy.
