It's a Maharashtrian recipe made with fresh tomato and coconut.
Steps

Wash and cut tomatoes 🍅. Take 2 cups of water in a pan and boil the cut tomatoes till they become soft. Then let it cool.

Make tomato puree by removing excess water. Then add the water removed from tomatoes while making puree, to dilute the puree.

Strain the diluted tomato puree.

Put fresh grated coconut in a mixer jar and add one cup of warm water. Grind the mixture. Strain the mixture to extract milk.

Grind 1 green chili, 1/2 ginger and 2 pods of garlic to make paste.

Mix diluted tomato puree and coconut milk. Add salt and sugar as per your taste. Add garlic ginger paste.

Heat the mixture and bring it to a good boil. Remove the mixture in a serving bowl. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves. The tangy, sweet & sour tomato soup is ready. Serve hot as appetizer or with pulao.
