San Fernando-Style Tex-Mex Nachos

I made this recipe similar to some nachos I love from Foster's Hollywood. I think they're called San Fernando Nachos, and the only difference in my version is that I forgot to add cooked beans.

I made this recipe similar to some nachos I love from Foster's Hollywood. I think they're called San Fernando Nachos, and the only difference in my version is that I forgot to add cooked beans.
Steps
- 1
Finely chop the onion and sauté it in a skillet with a little oil until soft. Add the ground beef and cook thoroughly. Meanwhile, prepare a traditional guacamole.
- 2
Dice the bell peppers and set aside.
- 3
Once the beef is cooked, start assembling the dish. Spread the tortilla chips on a large platter or dish and top with the beef and onion mixture. Add sliced jalapeños.
- 4
Next, add the diced peppers and shredded cheese. Place in a preheated oven (broil setting) at 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
- 5
Once the cheese is melted, remove from the oven. Serve with your choice of sauces or enjoy as is.
- 6
I made a traditional guacamole and a yogurt tartar sauce (recipe in the comments) that we really liked. I drizzled the tartar sauce on top and served the guacamole on the side for dipping.
