Homemade icecream
Made from custard powder. Mom's recipe

Out of the two cups of milk, separate 1/2 glass of milk and boil the rest.

In the separated 1/2 glass of millk, add 2 tsp (the spoon i used is bigger than a teaspoon but smaller than a tablespoon. Just make sure u use the same spoon for all measurements) of custard powder and mix thoroughly.Keep this aside.

To the boiling milk, add sugar 5-6 tsps, wait till sugar dissolves(you can taste and see if the sugar suits your taste) and add the custard powder mixture. Keep stirring till it thickens.

Cool this mixture and then beat it well with 2-3 tsps of unsalted butter.

Keep in freezer for half an hour or so.

Then take this out and beat again.(if frozen then thaw a bit before beating)

Freeze this mix for around 2-3 hrs until it reaches the desired consistency. (I didn't freeze it much as we didn't prefer it very cold).

Add nuts/tutti frutti/ chocolate chips as toppings and the relish the yummy home made ice cream. Note: If plain custard powder, then add some essence while beating(2-3 drops of essence).
