Dal Tadka Punjabi style !!!
Steps

Pressure cook soaked dal with turmeric powder and salt until done (3 whistles)

In a pan add 1 tbsp ghee and add onion and saute. Add ginger, garlic and salt and saute until onion is cooked and translucent.

Now add chopped tomatoes. Saute until done.

Add chilli powder, a pinch of turmeric powder and coriander powder. saute and cook until raw smell disappears.

Now add the mashed and cooked dal. Add more water to adjust the consistency. Adjust salt and bring to boil.

For tempering, heat ghee in a pan and add cumin seeds and dried red chilli and pour it to the cooked curry. Now garnish with Kasuri methi !!!!

Serve with Roti or Rice.
