Shinwari qeema

If you love qeema (ground beef) but want something a little different from the usual heavily spiced versions, Shinwari Qeema is definitely worth trying. Inspired by the simple and rustic cooking traditions of the Shinwari people, this dish keeps the flavours bold yet uncomplicated.
The beauty of Shinwari qeema is in its simplicity. Minced meat is cooked with tomatoes, green chillies, garlic, and black pepper, allowing the natural richness of the meat to remain the star of the dish. The tomatoes add just enough tanginess, while the green chillies bring a fresh kick.
Cooked until the meat is tender and the flavours come together, this qeema is wonderfully juicy and aromatic. Finish it with fresh ginger green chillies and lemon slices, and serve it piping hot with naan or roti.
It is the kind of hearty, comforting meal that doesn't need a long list of ingredients to make an impression—just good meat, fresh ingredients and a hot karahi!
