Crispy rice blocks

My grandma used to always make these yummy rice blocks for me. One day, I was watching her make it and I thought, why don’t I give it a try? So I did and it turns out really good.

My grandma used to always make these yummy rice blocks for me. One day, I was watching her make it and I thought, why don’t I give it a try? So I did and it turns out really good.
Steps

Put cooked rice in a large bowl

Add a pinch of salt and a tablespoon of oil
- 3
Mix

Put the mixture into a container with a lid and flatten (must be very flattened for this to work)

Store in freezer for 15 minutes

Store in fridge for 15 minutes

Scoop out onto a chopping board

Cut in half

Cut into thirds twice

Heat up pan

Spread some oil on it

Put rice blocks onto pan one by one

Put oil ontop of the blocks

Wait until yellow

Flip and add oil

Repeat steps from 13-15 until nice and crispy and golden

Serve with ketchup and mayo

Eat!!!
Tips
Add sesame or seaweed to make it extra yummy.
