Place the soaked dates, agave syrup, and vanilla extract in a food processor and blend until smooth.

Add the mashed avocado and cocoa powder, and process until creamy.

Stop occasionally to scrape down the sides of the processor with a spatula to make sure everything is well combined.

Add water until you reach your desired consistency.

Serve at room temperature or chilled.

Store the chocolate mousse in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 7 days, or in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
