Finely chop the dill and grate the onions. Mix the rice with the dill and onion, then add salt and pepper.

Line the bottom of the pot you’ll use with grape leaves (use the smaller or torn ones that are hard to fill).

Add 1 teaspoon of filling to each grape leaf.

Carefully fold the sides of the leaf over the filling.

Then fold up the bottom and roll it up.

Place the rolls in the pot.

Cover them with a plate.

Add enough water to cover the rolls, pour in the olive oil, and simmer on low heat for about 45 minutes to 1 hour. If the water runs out, add more as needed.
