German Pumpernickel Bread for Bread Machine

Ingredients

  1. 1 1/4 cupwarm water
  2. 1 1/2 tablespooncoconut or avocado oil
  3. 1/3 cupmaple syrup or molasses
  4. 3 tablespooncocoa powder
  5. 1 1/2 teaspoonsalt
  6. 1 1/2 cupall purpose bread flour
  7. 1 cupdark rye flour
  8. 1 cupwhole wheat flour
  9. 2 1/2 teaspoondry yeast

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Mix all the ingredients in the bread machine starting with the water and finishing with the yeast.

  2. 2

    Set the machine to 2lbs bread size basic program.

  3. 3

    Once the cycle is done, let the bread sit on the counter for 20-30 minutes before slicing and serving it.
