in a small bowl combine chili powder, pepper & salt.

in another bowl mix ketchup, mustard, vinegar, Worcestershire, lemon juice, steak sauce, molasses, honey, brown sugar, and hot sauce. mix well.

over medium heat, warm oil in a large sauce pan. add onions and sautee about 4minutes. add the garlic, stir for about a minute. add the dry spices from your first bowl. stir and let cook for several minutes. add the wet ingredients. simmer and stir over medium heat for 15 minutes to thicken the sauce.

taste and adjust. add more or less to your taste. remember - this is going on meat and will be cooked again, the vinegar will be less noticeable in the dish.

let cool before you put it in the fridge!!!

you can use sauce immediately, but I find it to taste better when it sits overnight. store in air tight container in refrigerator until ready to use.
