Coat grill grates with cooking oil.

Syeam or boil potatoes until fork-tender.

Add minced garlic while steaming potatoes.

Heat grill to 375°F.

Cook sausages 10 minutes each side or until they look right to you.

Mash potatoes over the butter, ensuring it mixes in. I used an apple corer because I don't own a masher and it worked gorgeously.

Add dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.

Potatoes should be a little chunky; this is supposed to be a rustic meal.

Plate potatoes. Add sausages on top right off the grill.

I paired a Cabernet Savignon with the meal, but a stout or an Irish red would pair quite nicely.
