This dish derives it's name from place Maddur in Mandya district of Karnataka. It is situated between Bangalore and Mysuru cities. Almost all who travelling between these two cities have enjoyed this vada. This is one of favorites snacks of people in Karnataka. They eat it any time of the day. The receipe is simple but that is it's complexity. The taste to the dish is only due to perfect proportion of ingredients and cooking method because this dish don't have any Indian spices. #Springfields #Springfield #Rimjhim

Ingredients

100 gMaida flour
100 gSuzi (Semolina)
100 gRice flour
1 spoongram flour
1 noChopped onion
20nos. Curry leaves
1 tspAsafoetida, 2-3 strings coriander leaves,1-2 green chillis
to taste Salt and oil to fry

Steps

Mix all the ingredients along with hot 2tps oil.

Knead in a dough using little little water
3

Divide the dough in equal 10 parts and make small balls
4

Use plastic sheet/ aluminium sheet spread some oil on it and flatten the balls
5

Heat oil to medium hot and put the above flatten discs
6

Wait till the disc rise to the top, turn it and cook

Cook till both sides gets beautiful brown color. Keep turning the side in between
8

Remove on a tissue paper
9

Serve with your choice of chutney and green chilli (optional)
