Ingredients

  1. 2 cupBasmati Rice
  2. 1/2 cupgreen peas
  3. 1/2 cupcarrot thin sliced
  4. 1/2 cupcabbage thin long sliced
  5. 1/2 cupcapsicum Julian
  6. 1/2 cupsoya badi
  7. 4cloves
  8. 1big cardamom
  9. 2small cardamom
  10. 2bay leaves
  11. 2 tsprefined oil or ghee as per desired
  12. to tastesalt
  13. 1 tea spoongaram masala
  14. 1 teaspooncumin seeds

Steps

    Wash the rice and cook it in 4 cup water along with peas, carrot, 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice. When the rice gets 3/4 cooked, drain the water in a rice drainer, keep aside. Boil soy badi for 3-4 minutes, squeeze the water and keep aside.

    Heat the oil/ghee in a nonstick pan. Add cumin seeds, cardamom both, cloves, bay leaves, when they crackle, add cabbage and capsicum and cook stirring for 3-4 minutes. Add boiled rice with veggies and soy badi, garam masala and salt to taste
