Ingredients

1To make CASTOR SUGAR
1 cupregular white granulated sugar...pulse in blender till sugar is very fine, but not powdered
2To make POWDERED SUGAR
1 cupwhite granulated sugar...blend sugar and 1 1/2 TBLSP cornstarch on high speed till powered
3To make BROWN SUGAR
1 cupwhite granulated sugar, 1 1/2 TBLSP molasses...mix and blend well with a fork (for dark brown sugar increase molasses to 2 1/2 TBLSP)
4HEAVY CREAM substitute...*not for receipes calling for whipped cream, as this cream substitute will not whip
3/4 cupwhole milk, 1/3 cup melted butter...pour butter into milk and stir...use in place of 1cup heavy cream *if using low fat milk, add 1TBLSP flour to mixture
5EVAPORATED MILK substute
2/3 cupnon-fat dry milk powder stired into 3/4 cup water...use in recipe that calls for evaporated milk
6SWEETENED CONDENSED MILK...makes equivalent of one 14oz can
1/2 cupboiling hot water, 1cup non-fat dry milk powder, 2/3 cup sugar, 3 TBLSP melted butter, 1/4 TSP vanilla. Pour all ingriedents into blender, blend at high speed 1 minute or until smooth

I like cooking and trying new recipes. I teach second grade I'm married with 2 daughters, one who has special needs. They are the light of my husbands and my world. Oh and we live in Ontario Canada :)
