I adapted a recipe from the Hairy Bikers 'Mums Know Best' collection. I have tried using corn flakes in the hope that any cereal is good to use here, though obviously the sweeter it is, the less sugar you should add. I also omit the step of soaking everything for hours...
Five Cup Tea Loaf
I adapted a recipe from the Hairy Bikers 'Mums Know Best' collection. I have tried using corn flakes in the hope that any cereal is good to use here, though obviously the sweeter it is, the less sugar you should add. I also omit the step of soaking everything for hours...

Heat oven to 180 C.

Spray/butter/oil a loaf tin.

Mix all ingedients in a large bowl.

Pour mixture into loaf tin.

Bake for 1 hour, or until a skewer or toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean.

Remove from the oven, allow to cool in the tin for 10 minutes.

Turn out onto a wire rack and continue to cool.

Serve slices with or withour your choice of topping...butter, jam, etc. A cup of tea would be nice!
