White Beans

I, for the life of me, cannot cook beans on the stovetop without them being crunchy or mushy. The crockpot cooks them perfectly!
White Beans
I, for the life of me, cannot cook beans on the stovetop without them being crunchy or mushy. The crockpot cooks them perfectly!
Steps
- 1
Add all ingredients in crockpot. Add enough water to come 2" above beans
- 2
Cover & cook on high for 7-8 hours (until beans are tender enough to your liking)
- 3
*I love salty beans, so I add more once they're done
- 4
**More water may be needed throughout cooking. If beans are too soupy, remove lid during last hour of cooking to thicken
- 5
***Anytime there is leftover ham, it gets thrown in as well!
