Ingredients

  1. casserole
  2. 1 1/2 lbyukon gold potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/2 inch slices
  3. 1 headof cauliflower, stem removed and sliced lengthways
  4. 6 clovegarlic thinly sliced
  5. 1 1/2 tspsea salt
  6. 8 ozroom temperature cream cheese
  7. 1 1/2 cuphalf and half
  8. 3 ozromano cheese, grated
  9. 2 tbspgreen onions
  10. 1/4 cupmelted butter
  11. 1 cuppanko japanese breadcrumbs
  12. 1 tsppepper

  1. 1

    Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. 2

    In a large pot of boiling water, add potatoes and cauliflower. Cook 15-20 minutes or until potatoes are tender.

  3. 3

    Drain. In several batches place potatoes and cauliflower through a ricer. In large mixing bowl,add in salt, pepper,cream cheese, garlic and half and half. Mix well.

  4. 4

    Place mixture into a greased 11"by 7" baking dish.

  5. 5

    Mix together chives, breadcrumbs, romano cheese and melted butter. Sprinkle on top of potatoes .

  6. 6

    Bake for twenty minutes. Put under broiler for two minutes to finish.
