I am not a huge fan of the version with half and half and I love creamy cheese so I found this recipe years ago and have never used anything since. I love it. I put meatballs and peas in this one. If you double this I would probably only do another 4 Oz of butter

Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cupunsalted butter
  2. 8 ozcream cheese
  3. 1 tbspgarlic powder
  4. 2 cupmilk
  5. 5 ozshredded or grated fresh parmesan cheese

Cooking Instructions

    Melt butter over medium heat

  2. 2

    Add softened cream cheese once butter is melted. Stir until melted together.

    Add garlic powder

  4. 4

    Whisk in two cups of milk slowly and add parmesan cheese. whisk until blended.

  5. 5

    Bring to a bubble boil, stir and remove from heat.

  6. 6

    Sauce will thicken upon standing. Usually when reheated it will thin out again but if it's too thick add more milk.

    Add meatballs, seafood, or sausage to make it extra tasty.
