Sunday Morning Milk Bread Sunday Morning Milk Bread
On weekdays we always eat rice and miso soup for breakfast, but on Sundays, when my husband isn't working, he always eats toast for breakfast. I used the bread maker to make the bread from scratch, too. My husband loves his scrambled egg toast so I wanted to introduce the recipe on Cookpad. The milk bread tastes so great because it contains a mixture of milk and skimmed milk powder. When baking the bread in the bread maker, add the egg mixture after it's been returned to room temperature. This will result in a smooth and fluffy loaf. You can make the scrambled eggs really quickly in the microwave and the grated cheese will lend it a nice kick!Toast to how you like. Easy Sunday morning crepes Easy Sunday morning crepes
A big Sunday morning breakfast is a tradition in our house and so today we went with crepes to eat with some fancy types of honey that the girlfriend got as a gift. Prone to overdoing things as I am, we wound up with DIY "crepe station" complete with caramelized apples, Nutella, sea salt, raisins, and who knows what else. Usual disclaimer: this is a found recipe for which I've given the full quantities even though I only made a 1/2 batch. Jon -

Freshly Baked Savory Stuffed Rolls in the Morning Freshly Baked Savory Stuffed Rolls in the Morning
I wondered if I could keep the dough in the refrigerator overnight to make freshly baked bread in the morning without having to knead the dough from scratch in the morning too. Dough I made Thursday morning still baked up beautifully on Saturday morning. The dough I used is a recipe I saw in a cooking magazine a long time ago and is not so sweet. It's not sticky, and has lots of yeast in it, so it rises readily and is easy to handle even for beginners. At the moment I can guarantee that this dough can be made 2 days in advance and kept in the refrigerator.Leave it up to the bread machine to make the dough. ♪ Even if you hand knead it, it will be nice and smooth after 5 to 10 minutes of kneading. You must preheat the oven properly! If the oven is not hot enough the dough may not rise, so please preheat it well enough in advance. This is a fluffy light dough that can be used for savory or sweet stuffed rolls. When refrigerating the dough, I found out that if you form the rolls and use the "partial freezing" function (if your refrigerator has one), the dough doesn't get frozen hard or overproof, and the rolls turn out just right! Please try it out for yourself. Recipe by Pokuchan cookpad.japan -

I'm not much of a morning person, so I used to bake these at night, but I really wanted to eat them fresh out of the oven in the morning, so I tried the rising process in the fridge, and it turned out to be very delicious! You don't have to let the dough rise before shaping, so no need to rush and you can just shape them at your own pace. Christmas Morning Pancakes Christmas Morning Pancakes
Red and Green pancakes on Christmas morning have been a tradition at our house since the 1960's. I vividly recall my dad making these in our basement on Christmas morning (yes, we had a stove in our basement) because he always made such a mess when he cooked that my mother would not let him use the kitchen stove! This recipe uses powdered buttermilk which you can find with the condescend milk at your grocery store. It keeps much longer than liquid buttermilk and you have it when you need it.GrampE

I’m visiting my daughter in Kentucky and we’re needing some comfort food. Bad storms came through and my nerves are...😳this is pure convenience comfort. It’s a simple little pan of omg I needed that. It’s so NOT gummy. It’s just clean and super simple and the guy that invented country gravy mix deserves a Nobel prize. SherryRandall: The Leftover Chronicles
