Ingredients

  1. 2 tbspbutter or margarine
  2. 2 tbspall-purpose flour
  3. 12 ozbeer - we used Magic Hat #9 which gave it a strong flavor. Choose to your liking.
  4. 1 1/2 cupSharp cheddar, shredded

  1. 1

    In a small sauce pan over medium heat, melt butter. Whisk in four. You're creating a roux.

  2. 2

    Slowly add in the beer whisking constantly to avoid any clumps. Once all the beer is added, let this reduce down to the consistency of a light gravy.

  3. 3

    Stir in cheese, whisk until melted.
