Ingredients

8 servings
  • 3onions, chopped
  • 50 gramstomato paste
  • 1 can (400 grams)peeled and chopped tomatoes
  • 1 1/2 kgchicken livers
  • 2 clovegarlic, chopped
  • 200 mlfull cream milk
  • 250 mlcream
  • 2 tspchicken spice
  • 30 mlolive oil
  • 1salt to taste
  • ground black pepper
  • 250 mlPeri Peri sauce

    Lightly season chicken livers with chicken spice. Brown in pan over high heat, set aside

  2. 2

    Brown onions and garlic in olive oil

  3. 3

    Add tomato paste and fry for 5 minutes

  4. 4

    Add tomatoes and simmer on low heat for 20 minutes

  5. 5

    Add 100 ml of milk and simmer for a further 15 minutes

  6. 6

    Add Peri Peri sauce

    Then add the balance of the milk, cream, salt and pepper, and simmer for 5 minutes

    Add the chicken livers and cook for 30 minutes, stirring constantly.

  9. 9

    Serve with Basmati rice
