Homemade Chocolate Mousse

This is a recipe for those who have a sweet tooth. Easy to make. I managed to get 3 good sized ramekins full of mousse. To make six double the amount.

Ingredients

3 servings
  1. 100 gramsdark chocolate
  2. 2 tbspbutter
  3. 1/2 cupSugar
  4. 3eggs
  5. 1 tbspwater

Cooking Instructions

    In a ceramic bowl over boiling water melt the chocolate, water and butter together over a pot of boiling water. (Bain marie method)

    Pour the melted chocolate over the sugar and mix well.

    Then separate the egg yolks from the egg whites. And one by one add the yolks to the mixture mixing after each one.

    Beat the egg whites until they are firm.

  5. 5

    Then fold the egg whites into the chocolate mixture.

    Once its all nicely mixed spoon into invidual ramekins.

    Leave in the fridge for two hours to set.

    Once set decorate your mousse. I sprinkled powdered suger over mine just before serving and added a few slices of banana.
