I got this recipe years back from a family friend who has passed away, God rest her soul. We had this side dish at their house one year and I've made it every year for Tgiving since. This year I was smart and made two because everyone always wants more the next day! Hope you all enjoy:)

I love sweet potatoes and I wanted to have some to warm me up.At Step 5, stir the bottom of the pot occasionally with a wooden spoon to make sure it doesn't scorch. Stir gently from the bottom, being careful not to let the sweet potatoes crumble. This recipe is largely stolen from Foodzesty’s amazing thick sweet potato soup recipe. Their original recipe is vegan, but we added chicken stock and milk. Yummmm.
