My hands get so dry & cracked this time of year. This removed all the dryness on my hands. Feels like rubbing your hands with sand paper. But it really worked. Put some lotion on after. What a difference. Cheaper than buying something that might not work....♥

I have tried getting rid of the astringency by boiling the bracken fern, but it was a failure, and it became too soft, and the bitterness from the baking soda was too strong. I have been using this method ever since.If you add too much baking soda, the bracken fern will taste bitter. Since the baking soda is only sprinkled on the stems, use a small amount, even if you have a large amount of bracken fern.After getting rid of the astringency, wash it thoroughly, and soak in fresh water. I have a very interesting pallette when it comes to what I like to eat. This is a rub that I use on pork and Chicken mainly but goes with anything that fits on a grill.

I attempted to make the traditional Halloween with cake mix and discovered my oven was not working. So, I made it using my summer sand dessert recipe but doctored it up a bit. Fantastic!!

I was trying to find a substitute to baking soda and only had baking powder. So I did my own little experiment.

This one is mild and savory. We can't really stand spicy food, so I didn't add cayenne pepper in it. If you are into spicy food, add some cayenne, or even, shichimi togarashi. Adjust the herbs to your preferences. Use this mixture for beef, chicken, tofu, etc.
