Diet Koshari
One of the best recipes I've come across—amazing koshari, but the great thing is it's made without oil and still tastes just like regular koshari. It's truly delicious! I hope you like it and give it a try. 😋

One of the best recipes I've come across—amazing koshari, but the great thing is it's made without oil and still tastes just like regular koshari. It's truly delicious! I hope you like it and give it a try. 😋
Steps
- 1
Sauté one sliced onion in 1 teaspoon oil and set aside.
- 2
Boil the black lentils until halfway cooked, then add them to the rice.
- 3
Use the brown cooking water from the lentils to cook the rice and lentils together. Add salt and a pinch of black pepper.
- 4
After 5 minutes, add the sautéed onion you prepared earlier.
- 5
Boil the pasta.
- 6
Once the rice, lentils, and onions are cooked, add the pasta and mix everything together.
- 7
Slice the second onion into long strips, fry in 1 teaspoon oil, and set aside.
- 8
For the sauce: Sauté the garlic in 1 teaspoon oil with the hot green pepper (optional). Add the tomato sauce and stir well, then add cumin, chili powder, coriander, salt, black pepper, lemon juice, and vinegar. Stir well and cook for 5 minutes, then turn off the heat.
- 9
Place the rice, lentil, and pasta mixture on a plate. Top with the sauce, then add the fried onions on top of the sauce. Serve and enjoy!
