Ingredients

200 mins
6 servings
  1. 2 kgBeef Brisket joint
  2. 4 cloveGarlic crushed
  3. 1 cupCoke, Pepsi or Cola
  4. 1 cupYour Favourite bbq sauce
  5. 1 tspBlack Pepper
  6. 1 tbsplemon juice
  7. 1 tspDijon Mustard

Cooking Instructions

200 mins
  1. 1

    Ingredients

  2. 2

Pour the coke and add the garlic and stir into a slow cooker.

  3. 3

Add the brisket beef on top and put lid on. Cook on low for 6 hours the night before. It iss better leave it cooking all night.

  4. 4

You can cook this in a greased crock pot with lid for about 2-3 hrs high heat then turn low once it boils. Or on low heat in a oven in a casserole dish for 3 hours.

  5. 5

After the overnight cooking or at the end of the other cooking method take off the lid, and with two forks shred the beef which should be easy as it does go soft and stringy.

  6. 6

Add the pepper and stir in.

  7. 7

Add the bbq sauce and mix in well.

  8. 8

Then add the lemon juice, mustard and mix in. Cook for a further 1 hour on low.-

  9. 9

When cooked, add to a serving dish.

  10. 10

Serve with beans in tomato sauce. You can add a knob of butter and 2 tablespoons of bbq sauce to the beans and stir in and heat up, goes lovely with the pulled beef. And some bread rolls 😊
