Phirni is delicious punjabi dessert made with milk and grind rice, which is traditionally served in clay bowls. It is similar as rice kheer. Saffron gives it a nice flavour.

KESAR PHIRNI: -
Phirni is delicious punjabi dessert made with milk and grind rice, which is traditionally served in clay bowls. It is similar as rice kheer. Saffron gives it a nice flavour.
Steps

Wash and soak rice for 30 min.

Drain the water and grind them till the consistency granulated not in fine paste.

Soak saffron in to a half cup warm milk. Keep aside

Heat milk in a heavy bottom deep pan.

Let the milk come to boil then add ground rice in it.

Cook ground rice in milk on slow flame.

Keep starring so that lumps not formed.

Take some boil water and add some almonds in it. Blanch, peel & sliced them.

When the rice is almost cooked add saffron milk, sugar, sliced almonds and cardamom powder in it. Stir well.

When it becomes thick add into serving bowl.

Let it cool down on room temperature.

Garnish with chopped almonds & keep in fridge for 2 hours.

Serve chilled
