the first 10 ingredients are for the cake itself

preheat oven to 350°F

in a large bowl cream butter and sugar

add eggs 1 at a time beating well after each addition

beat in vanilla

in a seperate bowl whisk cocoa and boiling water

in another bowl combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt

add flour mix to wet batter alternatly with the cocoa water and beat until smooth

pour batter into 3 greased and floured 9 inch round cake pans

bake for 25 to 30 minutes

let cool 10 minutes in pan then invert to wire racks to cool completly

the next 5 indgredients are for the crunchy peanut butter filling

in large saucepan melt butter

add sugar, milk, peanut butter and vanilla

cook over medium heat stirring frequently until thick and creamy

this will take up to 30 minutes so be prepared to stand and stir for a while

the next 5 ingredients are for the chocolate buttercream frosting

in a large mixing bowl cream butter

beat in powdered sugar about 1/2 a cup at a time mixing well each time

add cocoa powder annd mix well

add vanilla and enough milk to reach the desired consisteny you would like

the two ingredients are for the peanut butter ganache

the next 2 ingredients are for the chocolate ganache

assembly directions:

place 1 layer of cake on your serving platter

spread peanut butter filling on top of the bottom layer add the next layer of cake more filling on top of that andthen place the final layer of cake on top

frost the top and sides of the cakes with the choclate butter cream frosting

take the reese peanute buttter cups and cut them into four pieces each and place all ove the top of the cake for decoration

for the chcoclate ganache combine the chocolate chips and heavy whipping cream into a microwave safe liquid measuring cup. microwave for 30 seconds stir and repeat this until the chips are melted and the mixture is smooth. drizzle over the cake

repeat the last steps directions with the peanut butter chips
