Ingredients

1 1/2 cupsugar
1/2 cupbutter, softened
1/2 cupshortening
2 largeeggs
2 3/4 cupall purpose flour
2 tspcream of tartar
1 tspbaking soda
1/4 tspsalt
1/4 cupsugar
2 tspground cinnamon

Steps

Heat oven to 400°F. Mix 1 1/2 c. sugar, butter, shortening, and eggs in large bowl. Stir in flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt. Shape dough into 1 1/4 inch balls; walnut size. Roll balls in mixture of 1/4 c sugar and 2 tsp. cinnamon. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 400°F for 8 to 10 min.
