These always taste impressive, but are so easy to make and with very little ingredients. I like to make mine coated with white chocolate. You can also use whatever flavor of Oreos you'd like to.

Ingredients

  1. 1 packageoreo cookies
  2. 1 (8 oz.)block cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  3. 3 bars (4 oz.)each baking chocolate, white or semi-sweet
  4. Sprinkles (optional for topping)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Crush up all the oreos into fine crumbs, either using a food processor or place the cookies in a gallon sized Ziploc bag and crush them with a rolling pin. Place the crumbs into a large bowl.

  2. 2

Add the cream cheese to the bowl and use a hand mixer on medium-high speed to combine the two.

  3. 3

Form equal sized balls with your hands and place them on a plate or parchment paper lined baking tray. Place them in the freezer for 30 minutes.

  4. 4

In a medium bowl, melt the baking chocolate in the microwave in 30 second intervals until completely melted and smooth. Set this aside to cool for a few minutes.

  5. 5

To coat the truffles, work one at a time and place each in the bowl of melted chocolate. Use a fork to gently lift the truffle out of the chocolate - don't pierce it, just scoop it out with the forks tines. Tap the fork gently against the edge of the bowl to let any excess chocolate drip off, then gently drop the truffle into a parchment lined baking tray. If topping with sprinkles, then sprinkle them on immediately after dropping the truffle into the tray, before the chocolate starts to set.

  6. 6

Place the truffles in the fridge for at least 15 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden and set.

  7. 7

Store these truffles in the fridge for up to 5 days.

I love to bake and to try out new recipes! I'm always on the lookout for simple dinners for busy weeknights. A lot of the recipes I post on here are ones I've found on Pinterest or from different bloggers, and that I've tried and really enjoyed, but I always reference to where I got the recipe from in the recipe description and the pictures are my own. If there's no source listed, then it's a rare recipe that I came up with. I have two wonderful kids and I hope to pass on my love of cooking and baking to them.
