Ingredients

  1. 7 cuppecans
  2. 3 1/2 cupall mixed fruit
  3. 1 lbgolden raisins
  4. 4 cupflour
  5. 1 1/2 tspbaking powder
  6. 1 1/2 tspcinnamon
  7. 1 tspnutmeg
  8. 1 cupbutter
  9. 2 1/4 cupsugar
  10. 6unbeaten eggs
  11. 1 ozbrandy or rum flavoring
  12. 1OR
  13. 1 3/4 cupchopped pineapples
  14. 1OR
  15. 3/4 lbchopped pineapples
  16. 1OR
  17. 1 3/4 cupcherries
  18. 1OR
  19. 3/4 lbwhole cherries
  20. 1Honey or corn syrup

Steps

  1. 1

    Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg.

  2. 2

    Add nuts, fruit and raisins.

  3. 3

    Mix together until all fruits and nuts are coated in a roasting pan.

  4. 4

    Set aside.

  5. 5

    Add eggs one at a time.

  6. 6

    Cream butter, and sugar until fluffy.

  7. 7

    Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.

  8. 8

    Add flavoring.

  9. 9

    Add to fruit mixture and mix well with hands.

  10. 10

    Bake in pan lined with aluminum foil.

  11. 11

    Bake 3 hrs at 275.

  12. 12

    About 1/2 hr. before done, brush with honey or corn syrup.

  13. 13

    Put pecans on top.

  14. 14

    Let cool and enjoy!
