Ingredients

6 servings
  1. 1 lbMild Italian Sausage
  2. 2 largeRusset baking potatoes, sliced in half and then in 1/4 inch slices
  3. 1 largeonion chopped
  4. 1/4 cupbacon bit (optional)
  5. 2garlic cloves, minced
  6. 2 cupkale or swiss chard, chopped
  7. 32 ozchicken broth
  8. 1 cupwater
  9. 1 cupheavy whipping cream

Steps

  1. 1

    Brown sausage in your soup pot.

  2. 2

    Add chicken broth and water to pot and stir.

  3. 3

    Place onions, potatoes and garlic in pot

  4. 4

    Cook on medium heat until potatoes are done.

  5. 5

    Add sausage and bacon.

  6. 6

    Salt and pepper to taste.

  7. 7

    Simmer for another 10 minutes.

  8. 8

    Turn to low heat.

  9. 9

    Add kale and cream.

  10. 10

    Heat through and serve.
