Ingredients

45 minutes
Serves 8 servings
  1. 14 ouncestomatillos (about 400 grams)
  2. 1jalapeño pepper
  3. 1/4onion
  4. 1/2 cupwater (120 ml)
  5. Pinchcumin
  6. Salt to taste
  7. 5 sprigscilantro
  8. 1 cupsour cream (250 ml)
  9. 7 ouncesasadero cheese (about 200 grams)
  10. 1cooked and shredded chicken breast
  11. 24corn tortillas, lightly fried in oil
  12. 1 cancorn kernels
  13. 2poblano peppers, roasted, peeled, and sliced
  14. 1garlic clove

Steps

45 minutes
  1. 1

    Place a layer of tortillas in a baking dish.

  2. 2

    Roast the tomatillos, onion, garlic, and jalapeño. Blend with water, salt, cumin, and cilantro.

  3. 3

    Spread some of the sauce over the tortillas, then add chicken, corn, poblano strips, cheese, and sour cream.

  4. 4

    Repeat layers in the same order.

  5. 5

    Bake for 20 minutes at 350°F (180°C) or until the cheese is melted.

  6. 6

    Serve in portions as desired.
