
Easy slowcooker beef stew

Prepare vegetables and place in slow cooker

Pour oil into large bowl, add beef and coat well

Combine dry ingredients into a large bowl, transfer beef from oil bowl carefully - keep excess any oil

Ensure beef is well coated, then seal in a charge, medium heat frying pan for 5 - 10 minutes

Add wet ingredients to pan to taste.

Pour 2 pints boiling of water into slow cooker. Set to 'low' for all day cooking, 'high for part-day cooking. Minimum 5 hours recommended

Transfer remaining dry ingredients from bowl to slow cooker, stir well

Add beef to slow cooker

Add 1 desert spoon of tomato puree (optional)

Serve with yorkshire puddings, baby corn, green beans, brussels sprouts and roast potatoes.
