Wash vegetables. Do not peel. boil carrots and beetroots for 1-1.5hr, potatoes - 30min, egg - 20min

Peel vegetables

Cut herring to small peaces and remove bones

Prepare a deep bowl, mix onion and herring

Make a layer of onion and fish covering the bottom of the bowl

Add a thin layer of mayonnaise

Grind 1-1.5 carrots, spread evenly

Grind and spread 1 beetroot and then 2 medium potatoes

Cover with mayonnaise

You may do a second layer if bowl is deep enough: herring, mayonnaise, carrots, beetroot, potatoes, mayonnaise

Grind an egg on top

!! wash you grinder after beetroots so potatoes won't get colored
