Ingredients

20 mins
  • 1 cupSemolina (rava / suji)
  • 1 tbspClarified Butter (Ghee)
  • 1/2 cup Chopped nuts
  • 1/2 cuppineapple chunks
  • 3 cupswater
  • 1 cupjaggery (gur)
  • 1/4 tsp  cardamom powder (elaichi)
  • 1 pinchsaffron
  • 1 tbspmilk - to make saffron milk

Steps

  1. 1

    Dry roast semolina until it starts to smell aromat. Transfer to a plate, allow to cool down.

  2. 2

    Meanwhile, add ghee and roast Nuts, once it's done remove in a plate and set aside.

  3. 3

    Saute pineapple chunks for 2 to 3 minutes in same pan, once done, add 3 cups of water and get to boil.

  4. 4

    Keep the flame on low and slowly add suji little by little and keep on stirring continuously, make sure there are no lumps forming.

  5. 5

    Now add Jaggery and give a good stir.

  6. 6

    Now add cardamom powder and nuts.

  7. 7

    Add saffron milk and give a stir.

  8. 8

    Cover and cook until it's thick enough.

  9. 9

    Served hot, garnish with some more nuts.

  10. 10

    Pineapple Sheera is also good when served warm or cold. Do try this Recipe. :)
