Steps

Preheat oven to 180C/Gas mark 4

In a medium bowl, mix together the margarine & sugar until smooth

Beat in the egg and treacle until well blended

Combine the flour, ginger, bicarbonate of soda & salt
- 5
Add to the bowl & stir to form a dough
- 6
Roll the mix into 2-3cm balls and place on baking tray, about 5cm apart
- 7
Bake for 8-10minutes
