Ingredients

10 minutes prep 1hr cook
  1. Loaf:
  2. 1 lbground beef
  3. 1/2 lbmild sausage
  4. 1 cupcornbread stuffing (I like Pepperidge farm best)
  5. 1egg beaten
  6. 1 (8 oz)can tomato sauce
  7. 1small onion diced
  8. 1-2shredded carrots
  9. 1other Veggie of choice (I’ve used: diced green pepper, shredded zucchini, diced mushroom)
  10. Salt and pepper
  11. Sauce:
  12. 1 (8 oz)can tomato sauce
  13. 3 Tbspwhite vinegar
  14. 2 Tbspfancy mustard (I use whatever Tom has in fridge at the time- usually a Dijon)
  15. 3 Tbspbrown sugar
  16. 2 TbspWorcestershire sauce
  17. Add ketchup until I like the looks of it. I’d guess 1/2 cup?

Steps

10 minutes prep 1hr cook
  1. 1

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. 2

    Mix together loaf ingredients and shape into oblong shape with a flattened top (to hold the sauce better). Place into a rectangular glass baking dish. Mix sauce ingredients and pour completely over the top. Spoon sauce onto any bare spots.

  3. 3

    Bake at 350 for 1 hour. Baste every 20 minutes or so. Check that internal temp has reached 160. Let cool 10 minutes or so. Eat!
