Ingredients

  • 1 tspGrated lemon peel
  • 1 boxLemon cake mix ,prepared as directions on box
  • 4Egg whites
  • 1/4 tspCream of tarter
  • 1/2 cupSugar

Steps

    Preheat oven to 350

  2. 2

    Coat a 9 x 13 pan with cooking spray

  3. 3

    Stir lemon peel into cake batter and pour into prepared pan

  4. 4

    Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean

  5. 5

    In medium bowl, beat egg whites and cream of tarter u til stiff peaks form

  6. 6

    Gradually beat in sugar until stiff peaks form again

  7. 7

    Spoon over cake and form peaks with spatula

  8. 8

    Bake 12 to 15 minutes until golden
